In the lead up to the International Day of Peace, KWO recognizes the commitments made by women advocates and peace-builders in their community.

At the national level, women continue to be under-represented. Their voices speak to change, resilience and much needed efforts to resolve Burma’s civil war. We know that their participation – especially in conflict prevention – can improve outcomes.

On Peace Day and every-day, KWO will continue to use our agency to promote voices of women in the peace-building process.
